After nearly two years, while the Atcheson Topeka & Santa Fe Engine 2926 sat on the siding along the BNSF mainline just south of Menaul Boulevard, came the day for her to continue the journey to where she is presently undergoing restoration.

Early on May 4, 2002 two of BNSF's classic Santa Fe switch engines made their way from the south to where ATSF 2926 sat.  Santa Fe Engine 2376 coupled on the front and Santa Fe Engine 2628 coupled on the tender for control as they collectively pulled and pushed during the upcoming journey.  This unusual set of two diesels and one steam engine combination worked their way south on the BNSF Main Line to a switch that would take this trio west to the GSA railroad spur between 8th and 12th Streets, NW.

So follow along and enjoy the trip.
